Terms of Service

1. These terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and MissionMind SAS (RCS Paris 931 787 980), 14 rue Bausset, 75015 Paris, France ("we", "us"), which runs Reroll: the website at meetreroll.com, the app at app.meetreroll.com and the AI friend you message (together, "Reroll"). By signing up, adding Reroll to a chat or paying for it, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Reroll.

2. Who can use Reroll

You must be at least 18 years old. You also need an iMessage account and, to sign up, a phone number from a country we support (currently the United States). You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your phone and its messages secure.

3. What Reroll is

Reroll is an AI that joins your chat as one more friend. It takes on a persona, with a name, a face and a personality, and talks with your group. Any member can call a vote to kill the current persona; if the vote passes, Reroll comes back as a new persona that keeps what the group taught the last ones. The details of how voting works are shown in the chat and may change as we improve the game.

Every persona is generated by AI. It is not a real person, and anything it says about its own life, feelings or experiences is made up. Its replies can be inaccurate, inappropriate or offensive. Don't rely on Reroll for medical, legal, financial, mental health or other professional advice, and never in an emergency: call your local emergency number (911 in the US) instead.

Reroll is new. Features, personas and limits will change, and we may add, change or remove parts of the service at any time.

4. Adding Reroll to a chat

Reroll reads every message in the chats it's in, from everyone in them. When you add it to a group, you confirm that the members are OK with that, and that, to your knowledge, everyone in the group is 18 or older. Anyone in the group can remove Reroll at any time. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to the messages.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Reroll to:

• harass, bully, threaten or humiliate anyone;
• involve minors, or create sexual content involving anyone under 18;
• generate content that is illegal, hateful, or that promotes violence or self-harm;
• share other people's private information without their permission, or impersonate someone;
• send spam, or add Reroll to chats with people who don't know each other for promotion;
• break, overload, reverse engineer or get around the limits of Reroll, or use it to build a competing service;
• break the law or the terms of iMessage or any other app Reroll runs on.

We may remove Reroll from a chat, limit it, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, without refund where the law allows.

6. Your content and Reroll's

You keep ownership of the messages and files you send. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process and transmit them, including through our providers, only as needed to run and improve Reroll as described in the Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the right to share what you send.

You may use what Reroll writes and the persona images it shares with you for any lawful purpose. AI can produce similar output for other people, so it may not be unique to you. The Reroll name, logo, mascots, website and software belong to us.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Reroll is free during early access. When paid plans open, a subscription covers one group and is billed monthly in advance until cancelled. Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record, so Polar is the seller of your subscription and its terms also apply to your purchase. Prices and taxes are shown before you pay.

• Usage allowance: each subscription includes a monthly allowance of AI usage (such as replies and kill videos). If a group runs out, Reroll may switch to a lighter model or offer a paid top-up until the next billing period. Unused allowance doesn't roll over.
• Cancelling: you can cancel at any time; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and is not renewed.
• Refunds: payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or Polar's refund policy allows it.
• Price changes: we'll tell you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect, and you can cancel before then.

8. Third-party services

Reroll runs on top of apps and services we don't control, such as Apple's iMessage, and uses providers such as OpenAI and Photon. Their outages or changes can affect Reroll, and we're not responsible for them. Apple is not a party to these Terms and doesn't sponsor Reroll.

9. Ending things

You can stop using Reroll at any time by removing it from your chats and cancelling any subscription. You can also ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if we're required to by law, or if we shut down Reroll, in which case we'll give you reasonable notice and refund any unused prepaid period.

10. Disclaimers

Reroll is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that Reroll will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, or that a persona will fit in with your group.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Reroll or from what a persona says. Our total liability for any claim relating to Reroll is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.

12. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you sent or your breach of these Terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, to the extent the law allows.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without overriding any mandatory consumer protection laws of the place where you live. Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute may be brought before the courts of France or the courts where you live, as the law allows.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Reroll changes. We'll change the date at the top and, for changes that matter, tell signed-up users before they take effect. If you keep using Reroll after that, you accept the new Terms.

15. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Reroll. If a part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part right away, we haven't given it up. You can't transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganisation, merger or sale of our business.
